The Power of a Red Coat
‘Tis the season for red. You see red in velvet bows on wreaths, glass ornaments on trees, beautiful wrapping paper on presents, and even Santa is wearing it! We can all take a cue from Santa this fall and winter. Red is a hot (yes, pun intended!) color right now. Wearing red indeed isn’t for the faint of heart, but style never is.
Red is bold, brave, powerful, outgoing, rich, elegant, and demands attention.
You can wear red from head-to-toe if you dare, or you can opt to wear it in a more subtle way such as a winter coat. One of the things I notice is people are afraid to buy anything but a black, navy, gray, or camel-colored winter coat. These neutral colors do go with everything. I don’t argue that it is smart to have one of those coats in your wardrobe. I do, however, want you to add a splash of color with an additional coat. Think about it. Most people will see only your coat and pants when you are running around outside in the wintertime. A stylish and colorful coat will add an extra element of style to your overall look. You will stand out in a good way.
